Blueberry Matcha Latte: simple and delish
This Blueberry Matcha Latte is as beautiful as it is delicious, with a deep purple blueberry layer, a creamy milk middle, and a vibrant green matcha top. It's the kind of drink that looks like it belongs in a café window, but takes just minutes to build at home. Serve it hot for a cozy morning ritual, or over ice for a refreshing afternoon treat.
Ingredients:
50 g blueberry jam (homemade or store-bought)
200 ml milk, warm or cold (dairy or plant-based)
5 g matcha powder
15 g hot water
Ice cubes (optional, if serving cold)
Preparation Steps:
1. Add the Blueberry Jam:
Spoon 50 g of blueberry jam into the bottom of a tall glass.
2. Add Ice Cubes (Optional)
If serving the latte cold, add a handful of ice cubes on top of the blueberry jam.
3. Pour the Milk
Slowly pour 200 ml of milk over the blueberry jam (and ice, if using). Pour gently and down the side of the glass to keep the layers distinct.
4. Prepare the Matcha Layer
Dissolve 5 g of matcha powder in 15 ml of hot water, whisking briskly until smooth and lump-free.
5. Top with the Matcha Layer
Gently drizzle or pour the matcha mixture over the milk layer for a striking green top over the white milk.
Pro Tips
Pour slowly and use the back of a spoon to break the fall of the liquid, it's the easiest way to keep those layers crisp and Instagram-ready. Give it a good stir right before your first sip to bring all three flavors together. Reach for our Ceremonial Matcha to get that bright green color and smooth, lump-free whisk every time.
